Don't confuse these with either $100 earbuds or $5 throwaways either. These are 'good' performers at a decent price. I keep a pair in my briefcase for my commute where I'm not quite as fussy about the sound due to surrounding noise. You don't get quite the separation of instruments and voices that you get on pricier buds, especially on loud music with a lot of orchestration. On quieter stuff like Adele or James Taylor these perform admirable. If you are into Metallica, you should probably check out higher priced options.

The bass response is good for this price range and they appear to be reasonably durable. Not as good as my higher end pair but for what I use these for they are a good value with decent sound. I'll put it this way - the sound is better than you'd expect in this price range.
